layouts

As an effort of trying to expand my seminar work, I have started photographing combinations
of outfits, and pairing them with jewelry that I own. My intention with this is to expand on the
original photographs and put them into the context in which they're used.

In Progress Tiles

As I showed in last class, I have decided to mount the photographs of my rings on 4X4 pieces of foam board, and the height of each piece is based off of the significance it holds to me. Currently I have cut 70 pieces, but have 130 more to cut.

Bridget; Rings II

This is just another step in the documenting of my things. I prefer the still photographs over the quicktime document, but I am still not sold on the composition or lighting of the images. I plan on continuing to tweak this throughout the week and move on to the next set of objects.

This is a rough idea/draft of a way of cataloging my things. I have started with rings, and put it into a short quicktime film. I like the idea of doing this for all of my accessories: hats, shoes, jewelry etc. and if it all possible some of my clothes. As I said in class the other day I would still also like to make more tangible and 3D versions of some of my things, but this is the work I have started.
